Abstract

The objective of this study is to propose an integrated knowledge management model that meets the needs of contemporary organizations, overcoming the limitations of traditional approaches by aligning strategic, organizational, and technological capabilities aimed at generating sustainable value. To this end, a qualitative approach with an explanatory scope was adopted, grounded in a theoretical-comparative analysis of leading knowledge management models. This process enabled the identification of convergences, conceptual gaps, and opportunities for integration. The study resulted in the formulation of the IMPACTOS Model (Integrated Model for Sustainable Organizational Knowledge Management), comprising eight interdependent processes—Identify, Mobilize, Process, Apply, Create Value, Transform, Optimize, and Sustain—interconnected by leadership, organizational culture, governance, and technology as cross-cutting dimensions. The model positions organizational intelligence as the central axis that transforms knowledge into innovation, continuous learning, strategic adaptation, and sustainability. It is concluded that the proposed model broadens the understanding of knowledge management by conceptualizing it as a dynamic system capable of integrating people, processes, data, technology, and strategy. Its primary contribution lies in offering a conceptual and operational framework—adaptable to organizations across any sector—that strengthens decision-making, drives innovation, and fosters the creation of sustainable competitive advantages.
