Abstract

In the educational field, gender relations are an important point since they determine legitimized practices and habits in society. This work analyzes gender perspectives in the educational context, recognizing the existence of inequalities and cultural imbalances between women and men, which have been naturalized in a binary logic where privileges, opportunities, and resources are distributed unequally according to sex. This study is a descriptive documentary based on the systematic review of both primary and secondary sources. The population consists of documents that address the topic of gender perspectives in the educational field, selecting Kaplan (2016) as the base author. The analysis shows that education should be a field of social construction that transforms gender inequalities, where stereotypes and traditional roles do not exist, but rather an inclusive and critical attitude toward gender dynamics in society is fostered. It is concluded that it is necessary to have an educational system in which each student can develop according to their interests and abilities, without encountering limitations associated with gender.
